“Hey Joe” has a colourful history in regards to its origins and authorship. Some claim it was written by Billy Roberts, others say Dino Valenti. It was first registered for copyright in the US in 1962 by Billy Roberts. Its been covered countless times by all kinds of musicians, but none more famously than Jimi Hendrix for his 1966 debut album “Are You Experienced?”. This has become the quintessential version of the legendary song. I hope you enjoy my take on it!
