“I Don’t Need No Doctor” was written by Nick Ashford, Valerie Simpson and Jo Armstead but was more well known after Ray Charles recorded the song in 1966. Humble Pie, W.A.S.P. and many other artists have covered it over the years. My favourite version has to be John Mayer or his duet with John Scofield which is where I took the most inspiration from.
