Here’s another Hendrix cover, this is the 2nd song off the debut album “Are You Experienced” released in 1967 by the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
THOUGHTS…
This one is interesting because its mostly played on single strings so it demands that you be locked-in, aggressive and present throughout. The timing is fun too in the triplet meter. Then of course theres Jimi’s asides and afterthoughts which are mostly spoken and rhythmically counter everything else… so you better be on your game! 😉
